Community Information and Referral Service

Information Barrie is a community information and referral service, bringing people and services together. Information Barrie is part of the Information Services Department of the Barrie Public Library and is one of approximately 30 members of InformOntario, the Association of Community Information Centres in Ontario. We are also part of the Information Providers Coalition in Simcoe County, whose membership consists of all the Community Information Centres in Simcoe County.

The database has over 3000 entries covering a wide range of topics, and includes but is not limited to: information about non-profit agencies, government offices, clubs and special interest organizations, volunteer opportunities, daycare services, support groups and listings for many private counsellors and counselling services in the Barrie area.

If you think your organization might be eligible for entry, you can Suggest a New Record through the online database or fill out the Data Collection Form and return it to the library in person, by mail or fax.
