BPL Comic Con® - Sept 23

BPL Comic Con® - Sept 23

Dust off your superhero cape. Our 2nd annual BPL Comic Con® is coming! Join us Saturday, September 23 from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm for a celebration of all things comic at our Downtown Branch (60 Worsley Street).

Our BPL Comic Con is a free, family-friendly event that showcases and highlights the pop culture community in Barrie. Walk around the Downtown Branch and admire the cosplayers (Costume Players) dressed as their favourite characters. Browse the art from local artists, and buy the piece that catches your eye. Visit our vendors and find that hidden gem of a comic or toy that you've been searching for. Train to be a Jedi, meet up with other superhoes and so much more!

We are happy to have some special guests this year: Canadian comic book writer J. Torres will be doing two workshops; cartoonist Sam Noir will be drawing free pictures for kids; Marshall Geddes from Drawing House returns with another workshop on drawing cartoons; local comic guru Brent Chittenden will be talking about the Marvel cinematic universe; and local podcast True North Nerds will be doing a live recording.

View our event program for details!
